Welcome to She Gets the Money, a safe space for women who Girl Boss'd too close to the sun.
If you were on the internet in 2014, chances are you were swept up, in some way, by the “Girl Boss” era.

The Girl Boss movement had its heart in the right place, but let’s be honest—it pushed us into a cycle of hustle, sacrifice, and burnout. We were sold the dream of “doing it all,” but for so many of us, it left us drained and questioning if it was worth it.

I look around now and thankfully, the narrative has shifted. Success doesn’t have to come at the cost of our sanity or at the sacrifice of our well-being.

That’s why I created She Gets the Money.

I still believe in hard work—it’s the backbone of every great woman’s rise to success. But this time around, we’re playing smarter.

How, you ask? By laying the groundwork for a strong foundation that can support us through the highs and lows of our journey.

This means organizing our lives section by section, discovering the productivity methods that work best for us, automating the time-consuming tasks, focusing our energy on what truly matters, and outsourcing the rest—all while prioritizing our health and happiness.

Welcome to She Gets the Money, where success should feel as good as it looks.

I still remember the first time I got a taste of financial freedom...

By 2015, The Girl Boss movement had inspired me to make a radical decision. Fresh out of college, I moved out of my parents’ house and started a new life in Austin, Texas.

High on the belief that anything was possible if I killed myself working for it, I got my esthetics license and opened a lash salon shortly after.

Fast forward five years, and I was running a six-figure lash salon, operating a t-shirt business that brought in over $30K, and building a social media presence with 450K followers on TikTok alone. By all accounts, I had “made it.”

After years of hustling through minimum-wage jobs and counting every dollar, I was finally in a place where I could pay off my credit cards, stack my savings, book that vacation, or grab a new pair of Doc Martens without stressing about my bank balance.

But the grind took its toll, and eventually, I hit a wall—the burnout to end all burnouts.

Now that the dust has settled, I’ve had time to reflect on my Girl Boss fever dream.

Was it all worth it?

In some ways, absolutely.

I learned more than I ever thought possible and I made more money beyond my wildest imagination.

But I also gained 30 pounds, experienced stress-induced hair loss, and flirted with the edge of a psychotic break.

Still, I have no regrets. I've since lost that 30 pounds and my hair has grown back.

I can look back on those years with gratitude because it shaped me into who I am today. A woman with confidence, resilience, and the ability to create something out of nothing that gave me financial freedom, on more than one occasion.

Most importantly, I gained real-world experience that can’t be taught.

At the heart of it all, I created this blog because I believe that it's more important than ever for women to be financially independent.

Being financially independent gives you the kind of power no one else can take away from you—the freedom to say yes when you want to and no when you need to.

When you have control over your money, you have control over your story, and that’s power every woman deserves to have.

My goal is to help you take control of your life by helping you achieve financial freedom on your own terms.

Whether it’s through building your career, growing a business, or optimizing your productivity, I’m here to share the tools and strategies that actually work.

You deserve to live life you’ve always pinned about—and I’m ready to help you make it happen.

Now, let's get this money!
